The HM Treasury are following on from their work on the Private Rented Market by consulting on the issue.
They recognise that the Private Rented Market is playing an increasingly important role in the housing market and the UK Government is concerned to ensure that recovery is supported by a strong supply-side response. This consultation considers the contribution the PRS could make to addressing housing demand and increasing supply, and seeks views on whether there are any substantive barriers to investment.
