Campaigning charity the Electrical Safety council (ESC) has just published the Landlords' guide to Electrical Safety in Scotland. It contains all the key information landlords need to ensure that their properties comply with the law. The guide also provides practical guidance on maintaining electrical installations and electrical appliances, from visual checks, periodic inspection testing and portable appliances, to fire alarms and emergency lighting.
The guide forms part of the ESC's ongoing work to make rental properties accross the UK safer. It is supported by Citizens Advice Scotland, Johnston Consulting, Letwise, NicEic, Scottish Association of Landlords, SNIPEF, SRPBS and Select.
